Your Pain

Every minute I think of what is going to happen,
Every instance I think of the pain it will cause,
I cringe, cringe in pain, I want to take your pain,
To make you feel better.
I cant understand, understand why, why any being,
Any energy, any force could make such a horrible fate,
A fate so sore, yet so known, on any one,
Especially someone I am close to.

I want to take your pain, and have it myself,
So you can have one day at least of no pain,
No need for you to sit down,
No need for you to hold your back in agony,
No need for you to hurt.
Hurt what a strong word.
Four simple letters, make so many negative words,
Sore, pain, hurt, back,
Yet there is one word,
A four letter word that makes me,
Make myself want to take the pain,
Take your sore back,
To stop you hurting,
And that is “love”

I can’t fathom the pain you will have,
When that dreaded date comes,
I don’t think I can contemplate how you will feel,
Imagine what you will go through,
If you go through with the risky procedure,
I don’t know, if I will manage to be strong for you,
As you go under the knife,
I’m scared, fearful for what may go wrong,
Petrified that I may lose, my sanity,
And not be there for you, if the worst happens.
I’m scared I will not cope,
Yet this is I, your boyfriend, I honestly don’t think,
Doubt I could understand how you feel,
Doubt I can imagine how worried you are.
You put a brave mask on,
You say it will be alright,
Yet I can sense you aren’t feeling what you say.

I can tell your more worried than I am,
Telling me it will be fine,
Is just a pep talk, to hide how you feel,
Yet the worry is there, in your eyes, in your voice,
In the way you move.

I am worried, no I’m not worried,
That was before, the more I think of what will happen,
The more scared I get,
Scared for you..

Give me your pain,
I don’t care how sore it is,
Seeing you have one day of no-pain will get me through,
Seeing you enjoy your life without stopping for your back,
Seeing you smile and not cringe in agony,
Would make me feel better.Every minute I think of what is going to happen,
Every instance I think of the pain it will cause,
I cringe, cringe in pain, I want to take your pain,
To make you feel better.
I cant understand, understand why, why any being,
